Mather Academic Decathlon

We have good news! Over the years Mather's Academic Decathlon Team has competed in city competitions and in some years have advanced to state competitions. This year, for the first time ever, Mather has two students who qualified to compete at the national level. The national competition with state winners will happen in California at the end of April.

The USAD (United States Academic Decathlon) is a national academic competition where school based teams spend the year studying ten subjects that relate to a common theme. Students study Music, Art, Economics, English, Social Science, Science, give a prepared speech, have an interview and speak extemporaneously about a subject.

Help us raise the funds to help the students travel to the competition.
