The Mather High School Alumni Fund annually offers one $8,000 scholarship payable in $2,000 increments over four years. In addition, we grant $500 special awards when funds are available. Established in 2000 as a gateway to the new millennium, this scholarship has already had an impact on the life of Mather High School. The Mather High School college counselor has emphasized the significance of financial backing that goes beyond the first year. “It gives the student confidence that they have the support to sustain themselves through their final years of college.” In addition, these recipients enjoy the continued support and mentoring of alumni.

All scholarship funds are paid directly to the college chosen by the individual student. Students interested in applying for the Mather High School Alumni scholarship must be a graduating member of the Mather High School Class of 2010 who is planning to attend an accredited two or four-year college or university. Members of the Alumni Scholarship Evaluation Committee will determine winners based upon the students' overall academic record and the merits of the student's essay.

The due date for all Applications and essays is February 12, 2010. To receive an application the student can either download it or obtain a hard copy from the senior counselor. Interested students may send their completed application to:
